Vista Residential Partners Announces Matt Chesser as President of Apex Multifamily Construction
Atlanta, GA (October 9, 2025) – Vista Residential Partners announces the appointment of Matt Chesser as President of APEX, the firm’s dedicated construction division.
With more than two decades of experience leading large-scale multifamily and mixed-use construction, Matt brings deep expertise in delivering complex projects across major U.S. markets. Most recently, he served as President of Construction for Trammell Crow Residential, where he oversaw operations across North Carolina, the Mid-Atlantic, and the Northeast. During his tenure, he directed more than $6 billion in multifamily development, successfully delivering over 6,000 units across Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington D.C., New York, and Massachusetts. He led a team of more than 50 professionals and established regional offices in Washington, D.C., Boston, and Raleigh, significantly expanding the company’s in-house construction platform.
Matt’s earlier career includes leadership roles at Juneau Construction Company, Balfour Beatty, and W.G. Mills, where he managed a wide range of student housing, education, retail, and multifamily projects. His background spans every stage of the construction lifecycle, from predevelopment and permitting through final delivery and stabilization.
In his role as President of APEX, Matt will lead all construction operations for Vista’s growing portfolio, guiding project execution, enhancing operational systems, and building strong partnerships with architects, consultants, and municipal leaders. His focus will be on ensuring APEX continues to deliver best-in-class communities with efficiency, precision, and long-term value creation.
