Matt Chesser

Matt Chesser joined Vista Residential Partners in 2025 as National President of Construction, leading the company’s national construction platform and overseeing construction operations across all markets. He works closely with Vista’s development teams to establish and execute construction strategies that support the company’s growth, investment objectives, and commitment to delivering high-quality multifamily communities.

With more than 20 years of multifamily construction experience, Matt has been directly involved in delivering more than 10,000 residential units representing approximately $1.75 billion in assets across the multifamily and student housing sectors. His experience spans the full development and construction lifecycle, including preconstruction, budgeting, design coordination, procurement, project execution, and operational leadership across multiple markets.

Prior to joining Vista, Matt spent 12 years as President of Construction for the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast divisions of Trammell Crow Residential, where he led construction operations across a diverse portfolio of multifamily developments. Earlier in his career, he held construction leadership roles with Juneau Construction and Balfour Beatty Construction throughout the Southeast.

Matt brings a combination of national construction leadership, development expertise, and hands-on industry experience to Vista. His focus is on building scalable processes, developing high-performing teams, and consistently delivering projects that support Vista’s long-term investment and development strategy.
