Ben Lazarus

In December 2023, Ben Lazarus joined Vista Residential Partners as Managing Director – Mid-Atlantic Regional Partner. His responsibility is to source and execute all new multifamily development projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region including site selection, underwriting, design and entitlements, as well as construction and property management oversight. Ben has 20 years of experience in real estate.

Prior to Vista, Ben served at Wood Partners as a Managing Director in the Mid-Atlantic Office. Before joining Wood, Ben established a Washington, DC office for Carmel Partners, a private equity fund. At Wood and Carmel, Ben managed the sourcing, acquisition, and development of approximately 2,900 residential units. Prior to Carmel, Ben was with MAC Realty Advisors, a Washington, DC-based real estate capital markets advisor. At MAC, Ben led the marketing of JV, financing, and sale assignments totaling more than 4,000 units and $1 billion in capitalization.

Ben graduated with Honors in Political Science from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. He received his MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.

Ben, a native Washingtonian, is a member of the ULI and the DC Real Estate Group. He has been a speaker for events hosted by the DCBIA, Institutional Property Advisors, and UVA.
